JSSB Mortgage Services Recognized by USDA for Achievements in Rural Development

The United
States Department of Agriculture recognized the Jersey Shore State Bank
Mortgage Services team, a subsidiary of Penns Woods Bancorp, Inc., for its
outstanding achievement as a premier rural development lender in the state of
Pennsylvania.
In 2015, the JSSB Mortgage Services team placed first in underwriting with a
delinquency rate of zero percent; and second place in loan volume with a total
of 201 closed loans for the year. In 2015, the JSSB Mortgage Services team
accounted for approximately $20 million of the $664,633,889 invested by Pennsylvania
in the single family housing program through direct loans, guaranteed loans,
and in housing repair loans.
